Cardiac Cath Lab

Expanding on the excellent services and care of Oklahoma Surgical Hospital, the Cardiac Cath Lab and related cardiology services were added in June of 2017. Whether it is a noninvasive echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram or cardiac stress test or a more invasive procedure, our staff is trained to perform the latest imaging protocols and is equipped with the tools to better diagnosis patients.

When it comes to invasive procedures, our Cardiologists, along with our staff, perform the latest treatments, whether it involves the arteries of the heart, legs, neck, arms or abdomen or treatment of slow or fast heartbeats.

To check for possible arterial blockages, the Cardiologist uses an angiogram. An angiogram utilizes injected contrast dye along with an X-ray camera to visualize the arteries in question. The results aid in determining the best course of treatment for the patient.

Treatment of blocked arteries offered at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital include balloon angioplasty and insertion of coronary stents. Treatment offered for slow or fast heart beats include implantation of a Pacemaker or Defibrillator, or an event monitor.
