An intensive care unit (ICU), is a special department at OSH that provides a high level of care to patient with severe or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. These patients often require constant care and close supervision and may require life support equipment and medications to ensure normal bodily functions. It is staffed by highly trained physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists who specialize in critically ill patients.

Pain Management specialists at OSH provide diagnosis and treatment for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. These specialized procedures are performed in our Pain Management Center and are usually outpatient procedures. Our pain management services include diagnostic injections, therapeutic nerve injections, Spinal Cord Stimulator implantation, Discograms and Vertebralplasty. Endoscopy

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a nonsurgical procedure used to examine a person’s digestive tract. Using an endoscope, a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it, your doctor can view pictures of your digestive tract on a monitor. During an upper endoscopy, an endoscope is easily passed through the mouth and throat and into the esophagus, allowing the doctor to view the esophagus, stomach, and upper part of the small intestine. An endoscope can be passed into the large intestine (colon) through the rectum to examine this area of the intestine. Cath Lab

Cath Lab

The OSH Cath Lab is equipped with specialized technology used to visualize the arteries and chambers of the heart and diagnose any stenosis or abnormality found. A variety of procedures are performed in the Cath Lab including angioplasty, PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), and angiography. Radiation Oncology

The OSH Radiation Oncology Center uses a therapy using ionizing radiation delivered by a linear accelerator, generally as part of cancer treatment, to control or kill malignant cells.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy

The OSH Physical Therapy Center is staffed by our licensed therapists who help improves a patient’s physical function by utilizing a variety of therapies. Our therapists provide both inpatient and outpatient care to individuals suffering from an injury and also provide rehabilitation following surgery. The OSH Imaging Center staff is trained to perform the latest imaging protocols and procedures and is equipped with the tools to better diagnosis patients. This, along with the fast turnaround time, mean our physicians can start your treatment quickly.

The Imaging Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. When you arrive at the hospital, go to the Guest Services Desk in the lobby for an escort or directions to the Imaging Center.
